Scope and content note

Letter regarding news of family and friends, Mrs. Semmes’ servants have lost a bundle of Julia’s letters leading her “not safe to trust anything with fashionable people for they will leave too much to their servants who are very often careless like their owners”, moving into the house they had purchased five years ago, recounting numerous summer storms in the area, and comforts Anna on the death of a little girl close to her.
