Scope and Content Note

This collection contains a photograph album from the 150th anniversary of Washington College and the George Washington Bicentennial. Images are of campus, commencement with speakers German Ambassador Dr. Friedrich W. von Prittwitz und Gaffron, Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, and Governor Albert C. Ritchie. There are also images of the numerous anniversary events, many with people in historical costumes, including children dressed as African American slaves in blackface. The cover of the album is missing.
