Organizational History

The Washington College Art Club was formed in 1925 from the History of Art class and was a chapter of the American Federation of Art. The club went on museum trips and gave lectures. It seems that membership was sporadic since the club was newly formed again in 1947 by Margaret Martin, instructor of Art History, and John VanDerveer, class of 1949. This appears to have continued every few years until the late 1960s.
