Organizational History

In 1766 the residents of Kent County petitioned the Provincial Assembly to create a parish between St. Paul’s and Shrewsbury. At this time the colonies were part of the Church of England, they granted the petition, and Christ Church I. U. was formed in Worton, Maryland. The Episcopal Church is still serving the community.
