This collection contains materials related to the Board of Visitors & Governors at Washington College from its earliest inception. It includes correspondence, financial records, legal documents, and deeds related to college property. Due to a fire that destroyed the original college building in 1827 many of the earliest records of the college were lost.

Waters mentions and dismisses "any supposed error committed by me in calculating the tuition money."

Wickes invites the Board of Visitors and Governors to the Tulip Farm to "inspect my conduct on the place frequently and point out any fault that may be discovered."
