As a sociologist she photographed the people, places, and events of the Negros Oriental region of the Philippines, including festivals, churches, death rituals and funerals, traditional weaving and fishing, cockfighting, and mahjong. Horsley also documented the Moro people in Mindanao, the destruction of Typhoon Amy, and other areas outside the Philippines...
