Scope and Content Note

This collection contains a volume with minutes, member lists, financials, orchestrate addresses, and reviews of events put on by club including invitations and dance cards. There is also a folder of membership lists, bylaws, and correspondence with Al Holland and his Orchestra removed from volume.

Organizational History Note

The Cotillion club was formed around 1913 after the new gym was built. In 1907 the College passed a resolution about the number of dances and rules for students regarding attendance and chaperones. The club, composed of students and townspeople, organized and managed these functions. The club continued until 1939.
