Biographical Information

James G. Metcalfe, Jr. (1922-1995) was born in Chestertown, Maryland on September 8th to James (1893-1960) and Frances Perry Metcalfe (1891-1984). He attended Washington College but in 1943, his junior year World War II, interrupted his studies and joined the Navy. He returned to Washington College after the war completing his studies in 1948. He also married Mary Jane Ervin, a fellow class of 1948 graduate. The family moved to Arizona. James passed in 1995.
