Some request letters of recommendation for various positions with Washington College, one regards an honorary degree from Dickinson College for Thomas S. Hodson. Includes commencement materials for Yale and Washington College. There are also legal papers related to Barroll’s work as a lawyer.

Munroe of Annapolis at the Washington’ Birthday celebration at Washington College February 22, 1911. There is also a photocopy of the speech and the letter from President James W. Cain inviting Munroe to speak. Original of the letter is located in the President’s papers. This collection contains a list of sixty raffle participants, at 5 dollars a ticket, for a painting of George Washington by Jane Stuart based on one by her father, Gilbert Stuart. Proceeds were to benefit “the Club” possible the Newport Reading Room. The raffle was held in Newport, Rhode Island in August 1868.
