Biographical Information

James W. Dykes (1895-1971) was born in Fruitland, Maryland, to James Madison Dykes (1860-1900) and Lillie Goslee Dykes (1869-1939). James graduated from Washington College in 1917. Two years later, he married his fellow classmate, Carmeta Russell (1895-1988). He worked at chemical plants in both West Virginia and New Jersey.
