Administrative records.

This collection contains materials related to the Board of Visitors & Governors at Washington College from its earliest inception. It includes correspondence, financial records, legal documents, and deeds related to college property. Due to a fire that destroyed the original college building in 1827 many of the earliest records of the college were lost.

Charles J. Merdinger served as President of Washington College from 1970-1973. His papers deal with campus unrest, a coffee house for students, the Truslow Boathouse, and the Middle States Review.

This collection contains the papers of Washington College President Daniel Z. Gibson who served from 1950-1970. Papers include Administrative and faculty records, Middle States reports, and files dealing with Civil Rights and Anti-War issues.

This collection contains the papers of Washington College President Joseph H. McLain, who served from 1973-1981. Papers include administrative and faculty records.

Paul Titsworth served as President of Washington College from 1923-1933. His papers deal with the endowment for Washington College, issues related to the campus and housing, curriculum, grading, and awarding of honorary degrees. There are also papers related to the Summer School for Ministers hosted at the College, the Washington Centennial, and Washington College’s sesquicentennial.

This collection contains administrative records of the Women’s League of Washington College including minutes, bylaws, and financials. There are also materials related to events, a cross-stitch kit sold by the League, and a cookbook made by the League.
